This will be our last New Year's Eve in Saudi Arabia.  Unfortunately the Blue Stgraberry was completely booked up so we went to the Oasis Compound.  Its always a fun night with our friends.

We went back to Villa 113 after dinner and played darts until midnight.  We celebrated with a bunch of bottle streamers from Daiso the Japanese dollar store in the shopping plaza behind our compound.

Isn't that the best streamer picture ever?  Love it.
Ian Vallejo you are too cute!

Outdoor Movie Night

A few weeks ago our school had an outdoor movie night.  We watched Dear Dumb Diary.  It was so much fun.  The weather was wonderful.  The movie was on the soccer field so we brought our sleeping bag, blankers and pillows.  The was a "Shawarma guy" too, chicken shawarma are delicious.  It'a somewhat like a gyro meets a burrito.  Here are a couple pics from the evening.

Our Last Year in Saudi Arabia

Three years ago I started this blog to share our life overseas, in Saudi Arabia with family & family back in the states and overseas.  This will be our last your in KSA the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  We plan to move to another country, to experience a new and different culture.  now we just need to find new teaching positions. :0)
Abraham is now in High School.  He is loving it.  This is the first time for David to have one of our kids at school with him, then next semester Abe will be in his Theater I class. That should be interesting.  Abe has a part in this year's play "You Can't Take It With You."  He is busy learning his lines.  Here's a photo of him with some of his buddies.  Abe is on the right :0), Franco from South Africa in the Middle and Chris from England on the left.  This photo was taken at our compond welcome back meal.

Solomon played the recorder at the spring concert.  This year he is in the middle school band learning to play the alto sax.  He made the Boys Volleyball B-team.
In this picture are two of his good friends, Annika (from Chicago) on his right moved here the same time as us and Chesley (from Texas) is next to Annika.  Solomon's guy friends are scattered throughout the rest of the group but you can't see them in this pic.

Triniti is now in the fourth grade, my little girl is growing up quickly.  We're having a "girls outing" and getting pedicure/manicures in a couple days.  In May, Triniti and her best friend Kayla were chosen to perform in the school's variety show.  They sang the Taylor Swift song "You Belong With Me."  They were fabulous.  The girls even choreographed the whole thing by themselves.  Wish you all could have been there.  It took a couple hours of serious sweating while we searched the Indian souks in the Saudi heat but we finally found them matching outfits.
